“The love of a family is life’s greatest blessing.”
Family is the most important thing in life and I am so thankful for the little tribe God has blessed me with. Every year we get together and take annual family pictures and it’s so much fun to see the progression in our family throughout the years. We first started this tradition the first year we were married and have continued ever since and I’m glad we have. Now, don’t get me wrong-it doesn’t come without it’s challenges. And any of you who have kids know what I’m talking about! They are the best things in life but can sometimes (well, a lot of times) be unpredictable. Every year all I ask is for one-ONE-picture where we are all looking and smiling at the camera. Seriously, there are MUCH easier things to ask for in life than this- but we moms shall persevere and shall fight for this one thing with bribes, threats, treats, and anything, ANYTHING to get those precious kids to JUST LOOK AT THE CAMERA FOR ONCE AND SMILE. JUST ONE TIME!!! Ok, as you can tell, I may have strong feelings about this one. But thank God our kids did great this year-unlike last year when our daughter fell, scraped her knee, cried for the whole session, and eventually we had to re-schedule our session-yes, I try to block that out of mind. The amazing Katrina over at Katrina Jayne Photography was such a jewel in capturing these images with the patience of saint. THANK YOU girl! Now we have images that I’ll forever treasure-and forever forget to order a canvas of-and I’m so thankful! For those of you wondering what my perfectly imperfect tribe looks like, here it is:
